

You may have heard the hype about Personal URLs and some of it is very well founded. However, PURLs are not some magic bullet that will bring in huge response rates.
The list, offer, message are still by far the most effective way to increase response. Our experience is that Personal URLs provide a very valuable incremental bump. Generally, if you receive 15 responses 9 of them will come from a standard BRE (business reply envelope) and 6 will come from the Personal URL. In many cases, those 6 would not have responded without the PURL
In essence PURLs are incredibly helpful and are certainly easier to track.
It's far better to send prospects to a PURL that can be tracked as opposed to sending them off to the anonymity of your website!
